Lyric’s Marketing Tip #31: Change One Thing and You Change Everything

Change one thing and you change everything #lyricmarketingtips

It’s the end of summer, the beginning of school, the start of a new quarter is around the corner, and the new year is looming ahead.  I love September!  I love the feel of everyone settling back into their routines, and even though it’s still hot in Texas for the next couple of months, there is change in the air.  My clients are starting to think about next year, what they need to do and what they haven’t done this year.  This is a season for getting your act together, right?!

“To change your results, you don’t just have to change WHAT you’re doing. You likely need to change WHO you’re being. The person you have been up to now is not the same person who’s about to make the leap that you deep down really want to make.”
~ Ali Brown

Lyric’s Marketing Tip #31: Change One Thing and You Change Everything

Your marketing is really no more than an extension, a reflection, of you.  That’s why I love the quote by Ali Brown and agree with it whole-heartedly.  When we change our attitudes to adopt a positive, more courageous, compassionate, and empathetic way of viewing the world, it does not go unnoticed.  When we choose to view ourselves as a beautifully empowered person who stands behind our clients and services to make a difference in their lives, people will take note.  It is time to take a look at what is behind your marketing and make the leap forward to bring our best selves forward – now and into the next year.  This kind of work takes time and honesty.  It requires that you stop and focus on what you are doing and why.  And we do that ONE step, one action, at a time.  With this in mind, I wanted to share a quick tip this week before you take off for the weekend.  It is simply, change one thing and you change everything.  That goes for you, your business, your marketing, your list of to-do’s, your relationships, your family dynamics.

We can get so overwhelmed with all the options, all the bright shiny balls out there that we get paralyzed.  We sit like a deer caught in the headlights and our goals or tasks stare us down like a wild-eyed lizard! Marketing is like this.  It can be daunting.  I have found that the key is to choose one thing – change one thing – focus on one thing, at a time!

If you are in a downward spiral, don’t despair, just change one thing!

change one thing #lyricmarketingtipsI have put together a September calendar you can download and print to remind you to change that one thing.  Keep it on your desk or in your kitchen so you can read the daily reminders.  These are things you can meditate on and use to bring you to action to change that “one thing”.

Download the calendar here and have a super-charged relaxing and fun weekend!
