Don’t Stop Saying I Love You

Just like in a personal relationship, communication is key in keeping the “romance” going with your clients!  To stay in the honeymoon stage you have to pay attention, talk, say I love you and spend time together – and it’s all relative to business as well.  When you purchase a product or service, you like to know the money you have spent and the trust you have given is appreciated.  A simple thank you goes a long way to keep a customer in the “fold”, and a little attention will keep them coming back.  Lyric’s Marketing Tip #16 this week is simple, don’t stop telling your clients you love them.

Marketing is basically two things: 1) telling a compelling story about your company/yourself/your services, and 2) selecting the right group or demographic of people to tell it to.  Sounds like the dating game, doesn’t it?  Well it is, and there is a lot of competition out there! Incorporate language into your marketing message to woo your prospects into falling in love with you and your service, and once they are there, keep their affections in tact by continuing that sweet language of love.  No wham, bam, thank you ma’am here!

Be exciting and change up how you present your product offering often – keep it interesting. Be consistent. Stay in touch with your client and potential customer via handwritten cards and postcards, special offers, monthly newsletters, weekly emails, pop-bys, direct emails and phone calls.  Let them know you’re thinking of them, let them know you still care!  By the way, have I told you lately that I love YOU!
